Play with your letters

Two fun alphabet letter/sounds learning activities:

We play lots of games. Lots of games. Card games, dice games, board games, rhyming games, singing games, “I-SPY with my little eye…” games, “I’m thinking of something that…” games. I’d been looking for a good card game for letter/sound recognition for quite some time. I found a great one:

Triple Play Letter Sounds matching game from Grimm and Associates:

The cards are very durable and the pictures are really nice. Each letter card has its uppercase and lowercase. The game can be played 3 ways – a letter/sound matching game, a memory game, and a go fish game.

For those kinesthetic learners, this hands on letter building activity is fun and engaging. The wax is non-toxic food grade wax and you can make letters or use them for shapes. The cards themselves have directional arrows for appropriate letter formation.
