Follow the Money! by Loreen Leedy

I love my preschool daughter’s scholastic book club order. Every month, I see at least one new book that adds something fun or informative to our book collection.

One of our favorites:

Follow the Money! By Loreen Leedy.

Follow the path a freshly minted quarter takes from being stamped at the U.S. Mint to the Federal Reserve to a local bank. He goes on from there to a soda machine, piggy bank, toy store, parking meter, pet store, clothes washer, and garage sale, and finally back to the bank. He narrowly misses being put into a state quarter collection. Along the way, math problems flow from the different transactions they quarter takes place in. Each page is “numbered” with coins or dollars and some math is employed to figure out the pages. It’s an adorable book with a fun and informational look at the fun adventures of a freshly minted quarter.

    Loreen –

Thank you so much for stopping by and saying hello. I just got through looking over your other book titles and realize we have another one of your books – Mission Addition. I’m also thinking I need to get Missing Math and Subtraction Action.

Thanks for making such fun and informative books for children.

Keep up the good work! 🙂
