For the 4th of July, my husband came up with this great idea for red white and blue pancakes. He took fresh raspberries and fresh blueberries, froze them the night before on cookie sheets (a trick learned from Alton Brown to prevent ice from accumulating on them), and added them along with white chocolate chips into whole wheat pancakes.
It was such a hit with the kids, and the white chocolate chips added just enough sweetness that the girls didn’t even want to add syrup.

These look so delicious! I know the 4th is past, but I might just have to make these yummy pancakes this weekend for Saturday AM breakfast!!
Oh, they were so good and we are going to make them again, 4th of July or not!
