We had such fun on the color walk earlier today that we decided to go on a shape walk around the neighborhood this afternoon. It’s amazing the things you can find when you are paying attention.
Circle
Oval and rectangle
Diamond and rectangle
Triangle
Square
It’s been a fun day.

It’s nice that you also captured your color walk and shapes walk in pictures. We often do the same – hunt everything of a particular color, etc. By the way, I continue to read “back issues” of your blog and now in July
You have so many interesting suggestions, but I am filing most of them for 4+
I ended up printing the photographs and they are in a photo album for the kids (and me) to look at, so we have a permanent record of them. It was fun and the pictures did turn out nice.
It’s funny that you say most of the stuff is for 4+, and I suppose you are right. But I seem to recall doing a lot of stuff I did with my youngest. She only turned 4 on April 6th. She is probably in more of the pictures with the little hands. She was the child that did most of the montessori activities and the preschooler math stuff when she was about 3.5 on. She loves counting things, and would carefully do her works without dropping things or putting things in her mouth. I was always supervising her with everything, but she really had patience and interest with working with the things we did.
But yeah, as far as the younger than 3 set goes, I don’t have a lot, because I wasn’t recording the things we did back then.
